SPA

Piscine Molitor “The newly restored Piscine Molitor is one of Paris’ most fashionable swimming pools. It’s claim to fame dates back to the late 1920’s and is connected to a four-star hotel and Clarins spa. Can you say summer getaway? I also love that they offer hair treatments with Shu Uemura products.”

Plaza Athenée, George V, Le Bristol and soon the Ritz  “These luxurious Parisian getaways have one thing in common– extraordinary spas with treatments that will relax you for days. Don’t spend a fortune to sleep there, save it to spend on your facial. While the prices may be steep, you’ll feel extra fashionable in your bathrobe. Each hotel works with an amazing skincare brand like Carita and La Prairie, and the Plaza Athenée has a full a Dior Spa. After years of renovations, the Ritz will reopen their doors this June as home to the very first Chanel Spa. My excitement knows no bounds.”

BOUTIQUES

Colette “After picking up a pair of elusive limited edition sneakers and browsing the Alaïa rack, peruse The Beauty Box, on second floor. It’s a treasure trove for beauty lovers, full of, new, fun products and great indie classics. Known for their exclusive new releases, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s fragrance launch, Colette makes you feel like a real insider. So, if you want to be in with the latest and greatest keep their calendar close

La Boutique Paris Berlin “This is a favourite destination among makeup artists that was still kind of secret from the rest of us – until now! You can stock up on everything from the perfect silver glitter, to a dozen pairs of false eyelashes, plus all the beauty tools you can possibly imagine.”

Rue des Francs Bourgeois “Choosing one store is just too difficult so I recommend all of Rue des Francs Bourgeois, that’s right, the whole street! It’s one of the absolute best places for beauty shopping in the whole world. Cruise down the rue to find Jo Malone, Acqua di Parma, Guerlain, Diptyque, Chanel (only beauty) among many others.”

Citypharma “Never leave Paris without buying beauty products at a French pharmacy, and Citypharma, in Saint Germain, is the absolutely best. You’ll find great deals here, like two Bioderma Crealine for the price of one. Stock up on French favourites: Nuxe Oil, Oenobiol pills, Klorane Dry Shampoo, Embryolisse and Caudalíe Beauty Elixir.”

SKINCARE

Joëlle Ciocco “Skincare is serious business for chic Parisians. Many maintain their glow with regular visits to their own dermatologist. Joëlle Ciocco is the number one skincare guru in Paris and a favourite among international stars. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs and stylist icon Carine Roitfeld are fans! You can find her top-selling brand in boutiques but for a true experience opt for a treatment at her clinic on Place de la Madeleine.”

Biologique Rechèrche “Raw, cold pressed and highly effective ingredients make Biologique Rechèrche treatments unlike anything I’ve tried before. The scents are amazing and my skin had an impressive post treatment glow. I love how the brand is expanding and you can find their products all over the world (like the Grand Hotel in Stockholm among others), but their spa on the Champs-Elysées is the best. Even top makeup artist, Tom Pecheux indulges in treatments at their spa as often as possible.”

HAIR

Christophe Robin “Christophe Robin is one of the best colourists in the world. He is responsible for Catherine Deneuve’s blonde and Audrey Tautou’s brunette. Obviously, it’s pretty difficult to book an appointment (but not impossible!) at his salon, located inside Le Meurice on Rue Rivoli. If you’re not up for a colour change you can always try his paraben and silicone-free products in the comfort of your own home. No appointment necessary.”

Leonor Greyl Institut “Just a stone’s throw from Place de la Madeleine you can indulge in a real treat for your tresses.  The hairdresser not just the cut. Enjoy a thorough scalp exam where your hair’s length and ends are scrutinized—it’s all part of your personal hair diagnosis. Their products are super nice and I really love the hair oil.”

HEALTH FOOD

Chambelland “My husband, who is sensitive to gluten, found this wonderful gluten-free café in the 11th. Their pain au chocolat, tarts and bread are even better than the regular ones! It is perfect for everyone who associate Paris with stomach pain.”

Maisie Café “Until recently, it’s been difficult to find gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives in Paris. Slowly but surely the health trend finally hit the French capital. Enter Maisie Café. It is located close to Place Vendôme, but if you prefer staying in your pajamas, they can also deliver fresh juices in M/M-branded bottles to your hotel.”
